IS MY DOG A CAROLINA DOG?

Foundation Stock Registration Review

We are now requiring a DNA Health Check which you may get at Embark. Look for the Breed Plus Health kit. If your dog is approved, you will receive your letter AFTER your test results are forwarded to us. And NO, THIS IS NOT A BREED DETERMINATION TEST! It reveals a host of information which will be used for scientific study.

Only dogs meeting criteria for addition to the book will be forwarded to Dr. Brisbin for final review, approval, and addition to the book.  After which, you will receive a letter from Dr. Brisbin to provide to the UKC for registration of your dog.

The UKC Stud Books is an “open” stud book, meaning that dogs of partial or completely undocumented stock may be added.
The Stud Book is maintained by Dr. I.Lehr Brisbin, Ph.D.
Anyone who has an unaltered dog which meets the UKC Breed Standard and wants their dog to be considered for the stud book, may send an inquiry to the Breed Committee for review:

reviewmydog@thecarolinadogsociety.com

You will be furnished a questionnaire to fill out and directions for photographing your dog.  Upon completion of your submission, you will be contacted by the committee after their review.

This review is only for dogs who will remain unaltered or altered dogs wishing to show in Conformation

Altered dogs, who wish to register with the UKC for performance events may simply register with them with a Performance listing:
